Casa del Mirador

This property is leased until December 2024

Casa del Mirador (house with a view) is located a few blocks from the Granada tourist and entertainment district and one short block from the historical area and the oldest standing home in the Granada.  Casa del Mirador has been completely rebuilt with every modern amenity. It was completely demolished and rebuilt from the ground up according to USA standards for electrical, structural and plumbing including being built to the highest earthquake standards. This Nuevo colonial home features cable TV and wireless Internet.  Phone calls to 60 countries are available at our apartments 1/2 block away.

There is free Internet service Casa del Mirador if you have a laptop. It is even set up for wireless access so you can surf the net from the terrace or any other part of the house. If you are traveling without a laptop there are numerous Internet cafes around town all within easy walking distance. Several are around Parque Central and on Xaltava and the government, in an effort to help everyone with an internet device as free internet in the park but a cafe is usually better.

If you are going to stay for an extended period, like several months or a year or so let me know and we will do the best we can on the price. If you are a repeat guest you will automatically get a discount as well as referrals from previous guests. Just ask!

Included with all rentals at no additional charge is the fourth bedroom on the ground floor. This was designed to be staff quarters and has a single bed, private bathroom, and shower. There is a ceiling fan but no air conditioner. This room is behind the kitchen and next to the pool and is quite cool for temperature. It also can be used by persons who may have difficulty with stairs. Actually, it is perfect for taking a nap after a refreshing dip in the pool.

Check-in and departure

We try to accommodate your travel schedule as much as possible so, for the most part, we can be pretty flexible. The big hotels need to turn the rooms as quickly as possible and we concentrate on customer service and making sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. We plan on having one full day between any departure and any arrival to prepare for the next guest so your arrival and departure time can be early or late. We ask that you let us know your estimated arrival time and departure times so we can make sure that we have prepared every detail and have someone to meet you upon arrival if possible.

To make your stay more enjoyable this home also has:

  • Hot water showers
  • Housekeeping service
  • Internet
  • Flat screen television
  • Stainless steel kitchen appliances
  • Intimate swimming pool
  • Outdoor shower
  • Garden area

The price does not include electricity. Unfortunately, we have in Nicaragua one of the highest electric rates in Central America and it is not possible to monitor your consumption on a daily basis so we leave that up to you. If you use the air-conditioning a lot or forget to turn it off when you leave your electric bill will be high. If you are conservative then obviously the bill will be less. We read the meter the day of your arrival and the day prior to your departure and the electric cost is deducted from your deposit or you can ask for a full refund and pay the electric bill the day before departure. So what would you expect to pay for electricity? Once again this, of course, depends on the usage but on average the monthly rate for this property is about $100, which includes the pool equipment.  This home has been rented to the same person for over two years and that is their average.
